EY has held a presence in Limerick city since 1982, when our predecessor Ernst & Whinney merged with the local practice of Lacey Droog O’Donovan Boland. Last October we moved from our home in Barrington House, to our new riverfront offices, overlooking the mighty river Shannon.
Currently we have 50 people offering services in Assurance and Tax, though our new office has plenty space for expansion. By 2020, EY Limerick plans to employ 80 people and operate an extended service line offering.
The Limerick/Shannon region has a strong vibrant local economy as well as attracting significant FDI . EY has been part of the Limerick/Shannon and Midwest region success story for the past 35 years and we are very excited about this new phase in our development. We are also proud to have decided to commit to a strong city centre presence, a city centre that is experiencing a strong level of rejuvenation. Our office overlooks the newly completed riverside boardwalk, which is a major city centre amenity.
