Ireland’s cultural heart, renowned for its vibrant lifestyle and numerous festivals, celebrations and events has just been named the European City of Culture for 2020. Galway is thriving.
Galway also hosts one of our newest offices, opened in May 2016. Currently there are 13 people working in the City of Tribes. This number will rise to 25 by the end of the year with ambitious growth plans for the future.
Offering Assurance and Tax right now, by 2019 the Galway Office will employ 50 people and have a full Service Line offering. The city has become a cultural and economic hub, with companies being attracted to the city by low rent, a laid-back atmosphere and a highly-educated workforce supplied by NUIG and GMIT.
Confidence in the city is flowing as it becomes home to a strong entrepreneurial and start-up community. Established companies such as Boston Scientific, AMO, Abbvie, and APC have already cemented Galway’s reputation as a great place to do business.
Finding things to do on your day off in Galway should be no problem, with direct access to Ireland’s stunning west coast, the Wild Atlantic Way, serious shopping on the appropriately named Shop Street, and decent nights out in world-famous pubs such as the Roisin Dubh and the Dew Drop Inn.
EY Galway is simply an extraordinary place to create your future!
