Making the Move to Professional Services

I joined EY about 3 years ago having worked for a number of years in Financial Services Analytics. Making the decision to move into Professional Services as a Mum of two small children seemed bonkers. However, I met some amazing partners en route to EY who were inspiring, encouraging and supportive of my career change.

Since my first day, the people culture has been something that sets EY apart from the other places I have worked. There is a strong focus and genuine interest in team members. It’s fantastic to be part of a diverse team where working together we can all bring a different perspective to rise to the various challenges we are faced with.

Day to day, I am responsible for leading a team developing a data platform that is transforming how we execute our fund audits. This is a very innovative project for EY not just in Ireland but across the globe. It is really exciting to be at the forefront of what we can describe as something truly disruptive.

At times the role can be extremely fast paced and requires a real ‘can do’ attitude where there is a need to proactively adapt to change and find new solutions to deliver for our clients. This environment really allows people to challenge the status quo and put innovative solutions on the table. In the Data Analytics team we are very fortunate to have a huge range of projects to get involved in and truly make a difference for our clients and our colleagues across EY globally.

I am enjoying my career change, and if you have energy, enthusiasm and courage to lead and are looking for a new challenge, we are looking for outstanding talent to come join our team!
